Knowledge Direct-to-WEB is a rapid
eLearning development tool
that allows you to create interactive, games-based learning modules,
using the application you
probably already use -
Microsoft PowerPoint. Direct-to-WEB
enables you to insert games,
test questions and audio,
then export into a learning object that can be used in any learning
management system.
From PowerPoint, you simply "Save
As Direct-to-Web..." A
zip file is automatically created
of
your module. To play back your eLearning,
unzip the
exported file, and then choose the SlideViewer.exe file in the folder. Or, for
playback over the web, choose SlideViewer.html as your start file.

What is Direct-to-WEB?
Direct-to-WEB combines a PowerPoint add-in with a conversion
utility. The PowerPoint add-in
inserts menu items in PowerPoint
that enable you to add interactive
games and questions to your PowerPoint
presentations.
The versions of PowerPoint supported include PowerPoint 97, PowerPoint 2002 (XP) and PowerPoint 2003
The conversion utility can be accessed
directly from the desktop or within
PowerPoint. The conversion utility converts
your PowerPoint presentation, including
your games and questions, to an
interactive Macromedia Flash movie file that can be accessed over
the internet or burned to CD. The
Flash movie file can be viewed
online by almost all web users,
as 98% of website users already
have
the Macromedia Flash plug-in installed.
The CD version can be viewed by
anyone using the Windows XP operating system.
