PADI Divers eLearning
PADI truly is the "The Way the World Learns to Dive®." With PADI-certified training centers across the globe, PADI wanted a way to encourage new members to discover the sport and get their open water diver certification.
Digitec worked with PADI to create a truly blended eLearning solution. Using Knowledge Direct WEB, the PADI staff produced the Open Water Diver course. The instruction was designed and developed by PADI using streaming video, audio and interactivity.
To provide blended learning, Knowledge Direct WEB integrates with PADI's dive center database to connect registered learners with their local dive store instructors, based on zip code at the time of purchase. While the PADI eLearning portal is self-paced, learners can contact their instructor at anytime. Upon completion of the online course, learners then visit the dive store to complete the practical portion of the training.
 The Knowledge Direct WEB eLearning portal enables learners to access and complete the course, which uses interactive calculators and online tools. Learners can then complete the modules and final assessment to earn a certificate.
The administrative features enable Dive Center instructors and administrators to view learner reports, send out alerts and broadcast e-mail messages to their students. The Dive Centers can also "private label" the PADI eLearning portal with their Dive Center logos, contact information and home page links.
