InTouch USA is a New York-based wireless services company with retail stores in ten states, with plans to grow to 200 locations across 25 states within 5 years. As a growing organization with big plans, InTouch needed a way to train new employees nationwide, quickly and consistently. InTouch decided e-Learning courses were the most efficient and effective way to train their employees and began seeking out the right solution to meet their growing needs.

InTouch was looking for a system that could:

• Make it easy to author new courses and migrate existing content
• Deliver specific courses to different groups of individuals
• Track completions and test learners on the course content
• Provide a variety of web-based reports, including courses completions, scores, courses accessed, and no shows.
• Automatically alert employees of course deadlines
• Automatically integrate with their ADP employee database to regularly update new employees into the eLearning system

Most importantly, due to their ever changing product line and service plans, InTouch needed a system that was simple, allowing in-house staff to quickly and easily develop interactive eLearning for all employees, while requiring minimal administration time.

THE SOLUTION

InTouch selected the Knowledge Direct® because of its rapid eLearning development features, as well as Learning Management System (LMS) capabilities. Their internal staff produced their own e-Learning courses using Direct-to-Web, Digitec’s rapid eLearning authoring tool that converts Microsoft PowerPoint content into Flash-based e-Learning modules. The online courses created provide a central location where employees can receive consistent, quality training on company procedures and products/services information. Their eLearning portal is completely “private labeled,” to display an InTouch welcome screen and InTouch banners throughout the courses – making for a very consistent and seamless user interface. In addition, the elearning portal reflects three different company divisions, providing local and global administrations from one central console.

Within one month of choosing the Knowledge Direct eLearning Platform, InTouch was live with their eLearning courses on Company Orientation, Selling Techniques, and Product Knowledge.

THE RESULT

By utilizing Digitec’s Knowledge Direct LMS, InTouch is able to:

• Easily develop courses using PowerPoint and other existing content such as Word or PDF files.

• Create online tests and automatically generate customized completion certificates.

• Monitor learner progress, completions, and scores.

• Register new learners directly from their employee database.
